Carabinieri raid: one arrest, five reports, and 122 people identified
The Carabinieri of the Caserta Company have intensified patrols across the territory with a coordinated operation aimed at preventing and combating predatory crimes, illicit trafficking, and traffic violations. The operation involved municipalities within their jurisdiction, with particular attention to areas with high traffic volumes at night and strategic points along the provincial road network.
Arrest for aggravating precautionary measure
The most significant intervention involved the execution of a house arrest order against a 49-year-old man residing in the Caserta area, who already had a criminal record. The order, issued by the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, arose from the aggravation of a previous precautionary measure following an extortion proceeding. The Carabinieri located the man and escorted him to his home, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities for the execution of the order.
Reports for predatory crimes and illegal possession of weapons
During the same operation, officers reported five individuals at large, all of whom are considered serious suspects and whose responsibility will be determined in the subsequent trial phases. Among them are a 34-year-old man residing in Caivano and a 44-year-old Nigerian citizen residing in Casal di Principe, both charged with repeated driving without a license. An 18-year-old from Caiazzo was charged after being found in possession of a pair of knuckle dusters, while a 20-year-old from Piana di Monte Verna will be charged with illegally carrying a 22-centimeter switchblade. Finally, a 33-year-old woman residing in Caivano was charged with possession of narcotics, having been found in possession of 4,4 grams of crack cocaine and 1,25 grams of cocaine, both of which were seized by the Carabinieri.
Roadside checks and identification
The checks, conducted through checkpoints and searches at the most frequently visited locations, led to the identification of a total of 122 individuals and the inspecting of 75 vehicles, resulting in seven traffic violations. Additionally, one person was reported to the Prefecture for using a small quantity of hashish for personal use.
A constant commitment to the territory
The operation confirms the Carabinieri's ongoing commitment to policing the area and preventing crime, strengthening public safety through targeted checks and an active presence during high-risk hours and areas. The combination of patrols, checkpoints, and continuous surveillance demonstrates the Carabinieri's ability to respond promptly to widespread crime, protecting the community and maintaining a high sense of security throughout the province of Caserta.
