State Police intervened in the parking lot of a public establishment near the Crema shopping center following an assault on a couple.
On June 1st, the Crema State Police responded to a report of an assault in the parking lot of a public establishment located near the city's shopping center. Officers from the Crema Police Station's Flying Squad arrived on the scene to investigate the incident and bring the situation under control.
The young man was found in an altered state
Upon arriving in the designated area, the officers located a young Italian man of Egyptian origin, who had several prior convictions for resisting arrest and insulting a public official. According to the findings, the young man was clearly intoxicated, attributable to alcohol abuse, and exhibited particularly agitated behavior.
The belt held and the disjointed sentences
When the officers intervened, the young man was holding a belt and shouting incoherent phrases, requiring immediate intervention to calm the situation and prevent further consequences. The officers' presence helped contain the boy's agitation and gradually restore normalcy to the parking lot, where other people had also gathered.
The reconstruction of the attack on the couple
During the investigation, it emerged that a young couple, present in the parking lot and trying to get into their car, had been approached by several youths. Among them was the young man who was later reported, who, for trivial reasons, pushed and punched the younger member of the couple. The victim has reserved the right to file a complaint.
Identifications, statements and video surveillance
The Flying Squad officers identified the young men present at the scene and collected their statements to more precisely reconstruct the events of the incident. As part of their investigation, they also analyzed footage from surveillance cameras in the area, which helped verify the stages of the attack and the behavior of those involved.
The complaint for drunkenness and disorderly conduct
Following the investigation, the young Italian of Egyptian origin was charged with drunken disorderly conduct. The Cremona Police Chief also issued a preventive measure against him, a warning issued as part of the measures provided by law to prevent further dangerous conduct or public order disturbances.
An episode under the scrutiny of the Police Headquarters
The State Police's intervention helped manage a tense situation in a busy area of the city, near the Crema shopping center. The officers' investigations, based on witness statements and video surveillance footage, allowed them to reconstruct the incident and proceed against the reported young man, pending any action taken by the victim.
