Crema, 69-year-old man arrested for stalking after threatening sister and brother-in-law with a hammer

A 69-year-old man was arrested by the Crema State Police on charges of stalking after appearing at the home of his sister and brother-in-law and threatening them with a claw hammer. The incident occurred while the Crema Police Station's patrol cars, along with a local police unit, were conducting routine patrols in the city center.

The threat in front of the family's home

According to investigators' reconstruction, the 69-year-old man allegedly went to his sister and brother-in-law's home for financial reasons. During the argument, the man allegedly grabbed a carpenter's hammer , using it as a threatening tool toward the two family members. The situation caused great concern among the victims, who took shelter inside the home, quickly locking the door for their safety.

Arrested for persecutory acts

When the patrol car arrived on the scene, officers located the 69-year-old and arrested him for stalking , based on the evidence gathered immediately after the incident. According to police, the man was already known to law enforcement and had a criminal record for crimes against individuals, public administration, and property. The Cremona Police Chief had also issued him an Oral Warning , a preventive measure aimed at formally reminding the individual to respect the rules of civil coexistence.
