Soresina, extraordinary police checks: 169 people identified and checks in high-risk areas.

The extraordinary territorial control services organized by the Provincial Police Commissioner of Cremona continued in Soresina , in the province of Cremona, to strengthen the prevention and fight against crime, with particular attention to the areas most affected by illegal activity. The operation was coordinated by a State Police officer and involved crews from the Cremona Police Headquarters , the Carabinieri , the Guardia di Finanza , and the Soresina Local Police.
One hundred and sixty-nine people checked during the inter-force service
During the operation, a total of 169 people were identified , 124 of whom were foreign citizens . Of those checked, 55 had prior police convictions , primarily for crimes against persons, property, and drug-related offenses. The checks aimed to increase law enforcement presence in the area and monitor areas considered most sensitive in terms of urban security.
Road checkpoints: five fines and one administrative detention
The prevention effort also included road traffic. Several checkpoints were set up along the main access roads to the city, during which 25 vehicles were checked . The operators issued five administrative fines for violations of the Highway Code , specifically for driving without insurance, without a valid inspection, without documents, and without a license. One of the violations also resulted in a three-month administrative seizure of the vehicle.

Checks in sensitive areas of the city
The checks focused primarily on areas identified as most vulnerable to degradation and petty crime. Areas covered by the services include the train station and surrounding areas , public parks , green spaces , the industrial zone , the areas near the Civic Tower , the Oratory area , and other major gathering places in the city. During the operation, a bar in the city center was also inspected, where several individuals with criminal records were found. The competent authorities are currently assessing the business for possible action by the Police Commissioner.
Hashish seized and checks on the whereabouts of a foreigner
During the checks, an administrative fine was also issued against a 25-year-old Egyptian citizen found in possession of a small quantity of hashish. Finally, officers intercepted a 30-year-old Tunisian citizen, whose whereabouts in Italy are currently being assessed by the Immigration Office for possible action. Special territorial control operations will continue with the aim of ensuring constant surveillance in the most sensitive areas and strengthening prevention efforts within the municipality.
