Cesena: A 24-year-old man has been placed under precautionary measures after his family member reported him for alleged abuse.
Precautionary order executed by the Carabinieri
In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Cesena station executed an order for the application of a precautionary measure issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Forlì, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office. The order concerns a 24-year-old man, presumed responsible for the crime of mistreatment against family members or cohabitants.
The complaint of the cohabiting family member
The measure stems from a timely and meticulous investigation initiated by the Carabinieri following the complaint filed by the man's family member. The investigations uncovered a serious criminal record against the man, highlighting repeated episodes of verbal and physical violence. According to the findings, the victim had also sought medical attention and had been experiencing ongoing anxiety and fear for his safety.

Removal and electronic control
Based on the evidence gathered and to ensure the immediate protection of the victim, the Judicial Authority ordered the suspect to immediately leave the family home and to be prohibited from approaching places habitually frequented by the victim. The order also requires the suspect to maintain a minimum distance of 1.000 meters from the victim and the simultaneous application of an electronic monitoring device, the so-called electronic bracelet, to monitor compliance with the imposed requirements.
Activity within the framework of the Red Code
This intervention is part of the systematic efforts to combat gender-based and domestic violence, in accordance with the procedures established by the Red Code. The activity is carried out by local Carabinieri under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of promptly intercepting and addressing situations of distress and danger and ensuring a rapid response to protect vulnerable groups.
