La Liguria region strengthens the knowledge system in agriculture with the activation of the intervention SRH04 “Information actions”, foreseen by the Common Agricultural Policy 2023/2027. This strategic measure aims to consolidate the information network supporting Ligurian agricultural businesses, promoting innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability in a sector undergoing profound structural transformation.
428 euros for information projects funded at 100%
The regional government has allocated a total of €428.000 to fully finance information projects aimed at the agricultural sector. The grant may cover up to 100% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of €150.000 for each project and a duration of no more than twelve months.
The stated objective is clear: investing in knowledge as a lever for development. The widespread dissemination of up-to-date information on regulatory opportunities, financial instruments, technological innovations, and best practices is a key factor in the growth of agricultural businesses and sustainable land management.
Knowledge as a strategic lever for competitiveness and sustainability
According to Regional Councillor for Agriculture Alessandro Piana, the initiative aims to enable Ligurian businesses to seize new opportunities, improve competitiveness, and address the challenges of the ecological and digital transition with appropriate tools.
In a context marked by climate change, market volatility, and increasing regulatory pressure, access to qualified information becomes crucial to strengthening the sector's resilience. The measure is therefore part of a broader strategy to support and modernize the regional agricultural system, consistent with the European guidelines of the new CAP programming.
Fundable activities: meetings, help desks, and digital tools
Projects may include a variety of information activities: thematic meetings, dedicated help desks, periodic newsletters, editorial products, and web tools developed specifically for the project. Particular attention will be paid to the quality of the communication plan and the ability to effectively reach agricultural businesses and land management entities.
Selection will be based on a ranking system, with criteria that will reward the most robust and consistent projects with the measure's strategic objectives. The competitive approach aims to ensure the efficient use of public resources, supporting initiatives with high added value for Liguria's productive fabric.
Thematic priorities: rural development, legality, and green transition
Priority areas identified include understanding the opportunities and regulations related to the European Union's rural development policies, promoting a culture of prevention and risk management, and combating gangmastering and labor exploitation in agriculture.
Ample space will also be devoted to best practices and innovations for the transition to environmental sustainability, as well as phytopathological and health aspects related to crops and livestock. These are key topics in a region like Liguria, characterized by specialized agriculture that is closely integrated with the surrounding landscape.
