The Lombardy Regional Council honors Bollate Softball 1969: recognition for the Under 16 champions

The Bollate Softball 1969 U16 team was honored at Palazzo Pirelli after a stellar 2025 season: winning the Italian title, the European Club Championship, and the Little League Softball World Series final in the United States.

MilanoJuly 7, 2026 – The Regional Council of Lombardy paid tribute to the young athletes of the Bollate Softball 1969 Under 16 team, protagonists of a 2025 season full of successes at the national and international level.

The ceremony took place in the afternoon at Palazzo Pirelli, where the athletes, accompanied by the club's president, Guido Soldi, received a special recognition from the president of the Regional Council, Federico Romani, and the president of the Association of Regional Councilors, Alessandro Patelli.

During the awards ceremony, the team was awarded the Regional Council pennant and a commemorative parchment, in recognition of the extraordinary results achieved during the season.

A historic season for Bollate Softball U16

The young athletes won the title of Italian Under 16 Champions in 2025, the title of European Junior Club Champions and reached the final of the Little League Softball World Series played in the United States, representing the entire Europe-Africa region.

A journey that has confirmed the value of the Bollate-based club's youth team, a point of reference in the Italian and European softball scene for years.

During the ceremony, Regional Council President Federico Romani emphasized the significance of the recognition.

"With this recognition, we recognize not only outstanding sporting achievements, but also a model that combines talent, commitment, and training. Bollate Softball 1969 is a Lombard excellence that, through its youth sector, continues to bring our region to the forefront of international sport."

One of the most successful companies in Europe

Founded in 1969, Bollate Softball represents one of the most prestigious realities in European softball.

The company's list of achievements includes:

• 15 Serie A1 championships;
• 4 Italian Cups;
• 2 Champions Cups;
• 1 Cup Winners' Cup.

Particularly significant is the work done in the youth sector, the club's true strength. The youth teams have won a total of 73 Italian titles, contributing to the club's total national successes to 88, confirming its role of excellence both in sporting performances and in the development of young athletes.
