The volume, published in 2025 in the series Motivational Novels, collects twenty-one stories of world sports champions united by one fundamental element: the ability to transform a fall into an opportunity for growth.
A book born in Rozzano that tells the value of resilience
The fact that “Fall, Rise, Win” was born in Rozzano It's no coincidence. Over the years, the city in the Milanese hinterland has experienced a public narrative often marked by stereotypes, such as the famous nickname “Rozzangeles”, spread in the nineties.
A definition that does not tell the current reality of a community that, over the years, has been able to transform itself and enhance its human and social potentialToday Rozzano represents a territory that produces talents, culture and innovation, becoming an example of silent but concrete growth.
Giliberti's book fits right into this context: a strong and symbolic message, which starts from an area often associated with difficulties to demonstrate how extraordinary paths can arise precisely from the outskirts.
Rozzano and the talents who conquered the world
The city's recent history tells a story quite different from stereotypes. Rozzano is in fact place of origin or growth of many successful personalities in various fields.
In the world of music, names such as Biagio Antonacci e Fedez, while in the international music industry it appears Pico Cibelli, now CEO of Warner Music, who took his first steps in Rozzano by opening a small record shop.
Sport has also seen the emergence of great talents who grew up in this area, including:
- Arthur Of Naples, former professional footballer
- Mattia De Sciglio, champion of the Italian national team
- Daniele Scardina, internationally known boxer
- Michael Alboreto, historic Ferrari driver
Added to these are figures from sports journalism such as Mauro Suma e Alberto Brandi, who have built a significant career in the Italian television scene.
The area also hosts important economic and health institutions, such as Rest, Technohouse and the hospital and university center Humanitas, helping to strengthen Rozzano's role as dynamic center of the Milan metropolitan area.
“Fall, Rise, Win”: The Stories of Champions Who Never Give Up
The heart of the book is represented by twenty-one stories of great champions of world sport, united by a path made of falls, difficulties and rebirth.
Among the protagonists described by Giliberti are:
- Michael Jordan, cut from the high school team before becoming a basketball legend
- Michael Phelps, the hyperactive child who would become the most decorated swimmer in Olympic history
- Serena Williams, raised on the courts of Compton before dominating world tennis
- Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the island of Madeira to become one of the greatest footballers of all time
- Muhammad Ali, universal symbol of courage and determination
- Simone Biles, Olympic champion capable of facing and overcoming enormous psychological pressure
- LeBron James, who grew up in difficult conditions before becoming an NBA superstar
- Novak Djokovic, which developed its resilience during the bombing of Belgrade in the 1990s.
Each chapter follows a clear and engaging narrative structure divided into three key moments:
- The fall – the moment of difficulty or failure
- Awareness – the awareness that leads to change
- The rebirth – the path that leads to success.
The book does not limit itself to recounting sporting achievements, but analyses the human and psychological journey that led these champions to overcome their limits.
Jpata's Story: When a Dream Changes Shape
The twenty-first chapter of the book is dedicated to a particularly significant story: that of Alessandro Patacchini, known on social media as Jpata.
Former football promise, grown up in the youth teams of Inter and ParmaPatacchini saw his professional career cut short by a serious knee injury.
A fall that could have marked his path forever. Instead, from that moment on, it began. a new phase in his life: Jpata transformed his experience into a story shared with thousands of young people on social media, becoming content creator and point of reference for many young people.
His journey perfectly represents the message of the book: The real victory is not avoiding falls, but knowing how to find a new balance after them.
A manifesto for a winning mentality
The volume concludes with a particularly innovative section: The Manifesto of the Winning Mentality, a summary of the principles that emerge from the stories told.
Not only that. The book also includes an interactive section, in which the reader is invited to recount his own experience of fall and rebirth.
In this way “Fall, Rise, Win” becomes not just a collection of biographies, but a tool for personal growth, designed especially for the new generations.
The presentation: guests from the world of sport and entertainment
The event of the March 7th at Cascina Grande will be enriched by the presence of guests from the world of sport, social commitment, politics and entertainment, even at national level.
The presentation will offer the opportunity for a discussion on the book's central themes:
- the educational role of sport
- the culture of resilience
- the value of redemption in the urban peripheries
- the importance of providing positive role models to young people.
A debate that fits into a historical moment in which the narrative of the suburbs is changing, leaving room for stories of growth, talent and opportunity.
