A flurry of State Police interventions in Naples and the province

Five arrests were made for thefts, robberies, and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking . This is the result of the operations carried out by the Naples State Police in the last few hours, with operations coordinated by the territorial offices involved in territorial control services.

The operations involved various areas of the provincial territory, from Afragola to San Giuseppe Vesuviano , passing through the Neapolitan districts of Soccavo and Porta Capuana , with the recovery of stolen goods and the seizure of drugs.

Afragola, two young women arrested for theft at a shopping center

Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Afragola Police Station responded to a local shopping center after receiving a report of an alleged theft from the Operations Room.

The police officers, who arrived on the scene, found that two young women, a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old , had been stopped by employees of three commercial businesses present in the building.

According to the officers' reconstruction, the two girls allegedly stole several items of clothing from several shops, hiding them inside a stroller.

The goods were recovered and returned to their rightful owners, while the two young women were arrested for aggravated theft.

San Giuseppe Vesuviano: Two arrested for improper supermarket robbery

A second intervention concerned San Giuseppe Vesuviano , where the State Police arrested two men aged 47 and 35 , both illegal immigrants on national territory and with previous police records, some of which specific, for improper robbery.

Officers from the local police station responded to Via Croce Rossa after a reported theft inside a supermarket.

At the scene, an employee pointed out to the police two men who, shortly before, had allegedly stolen some alcoholic beverages. According to the employee's reconstruction, after being discovered, the two physically assaulted her and then attempted to flee.

The officers managed to catch up with them and subdue them. Upon seeing the officers, the two allegedly threw the bottles onto the road, breaking them.

Both were then arrested.

Soccavo: 31-year-old arrested with hashish and marijuana

In the Neapolitan neighbourhood of Soccavo , officers from the San Paolo Police Station arrested a 31-year-old for illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

During a patrol on Via Romolo e Remo, the police officers noticed the man hiding a bag under some tiles in the street's gardens.

When caught and checked, the 31-year-old was found in possession of 165 euros in cash , divided into banknotes of various denominations.

Inside the hidden bag, 54 packages of marijuana were recovered , for a total weight of approximately 110 grams , and 11 packages of hashish , for approximately 26 grams.

The narcotic substance was seized and the man was arrested.

Porta Capuana: 61-year-old arrested after being caught selling heroin

Another arrest was made by officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid as part of the extraordinary operations organized by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug dealing.

In Vico dei Candelari , in the Porta Capuana area, the police noticed a 61-year-old man , with a specific police record, while he allegedly took something from the cavity of a wall and then handed it over to another person in exchange for a banknote.

The officers intervened and stopped the suspected drug dealer, who was found in possession of a package containing heroin.

Inside the cavity, 20 other packages of the same substance were also found , for a total weight of approximately 5 grams.

In this case too, the arrest was made for illicit possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

Strengthened State Police controls on the territory

The interventions are part of the daily prevention and territorial control activities implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat criminal activity, with particular attention to predatory crimes and drug dealing.
