Ravenna, young woman held at home by her partner: 30-year-old arrested for kidnapping

Late on the evening of Saturday, June 6, officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid at the Ravenna Police Headquarters arrested a thirty-year-old Kosovar national with a criminal record, believed to be responsible for kidnapping his girlfriend. The State Police responded to the home where the couple live after neighbors reported the incident, having been alerted by the girl's screams.
The young woman held at home
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a situation in which the young woman's partner allegedly prevented her from leaving the house for an extended period of time. After initial investigations by the judicial police, the thirty-year-old was arrested for kidnapping and, at the same time, also charged with mistreatment of family members and cohabitants, possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence, and possession of narcotics for personal use.
The transfer to prison
During the operation, the man was found in possession of a pocketknife and 3,31 grams of hashish. Once arrested, he was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor on duty, who ordered his transfer to the prison. The operation concluded with the arrest of the thirty-year-old and the simultaneous charging of him with the additional crimes uncovered during the investigation.
