Ravenna cracks down on summer nightlife: the Police Chief issues 26 orders against individuals deemed dangerous.

La The Ravenna State Police is stepping up its prevention efforts during the summer season. with a series of targeted interventions in the main nightlife spots and in the areas most frequented by tourists. The territorial control services, set up in the Ravenna beaches and in the territory of Cervia e Milano maritime, have been strengthened on the basis of decisions taken at the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, chaired by the Prefect of Ravenna. The aim is to combat incidents of urban decay, disturbance of the public peace, and criminal conduct against property and individuals, ensuring greater safety in public places.
The Police Commissioner's prevention tools have been applied
In addition to monitoring and repressing crimes, the Police Headquarters has also implemented the prevention tools provided by law, through systematic investigations conducted by the Anti-Crime Division of the Ravenna Police Headquarters . Specifically, the prohibition of return orders provided for in Article 2 of Legislative Decree 159/2011 and bans on access to public places, the so-called DASpo Willy , were adopted to counter incidents of violence that generate particular social alarm.
26 measures issued against young people deemed dangerous
Since the beginning of the summer season, a total of 26 measures against as many individuals, mostly young people, deemed responsible for conduct that represents a risk to public safety. The measures concerned incidents that occurred in the territories of Marina di Ravenna, Punta Marina, Lido Adriano, Cervia, Pinarella and Milano maritimePreventive measures also allowed us to intervene against individuals deemed to have no legitimate ties to the area and believed to be present primarily for the purpose of committing crimes or engaging in dangerous behavior.
Twelve return bans between Ravenna and Cervia
Specifically, the Police Chief issued 12 return bans : six from the Municipality of Cervia and six from the Municipality of Ravenna. The measures require expulsion from the affected areas for periods ranging from one to four years , preventing the return of individuals deemed incompatible with the security needs of the local communities.
Fourteen DASpo Willy protest violence in clubs
Fourteen DASpo Willy orders have been issued to individuals involved in incidents of violence or behavior deemed particularly alarming. These measures include a ban on access to public establishments and businesses in the affected area, as well as a ban on staying in the immediate vicinity. The duration of these measures can range from one to three years , with the aim of preventing the recurrence of violent incidents in nightlife venues.
The prevention strategy for the summer
The State Police's activity is part of a broader security plan developed for the summer season, when the coastal towns of the province of Ravenna experience a significant increase in visitors.
