Ravenna, assault at the train station: 23-year-old arrested after a violent robbery

A 23-year-old foreign national was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Ravenna Mobile Radio Unit. Based on evidence gathered and pending further investigation by the judicial authorities, he is accused of robbery and assault. The man, already known to law enforcement and subject to the preventive measure of Oral Warning, was arrested by officers after a violent attack near the Ravenna train station.

The alarm raised by passers-by and the intervention of the Carabinieri

The intervention was triggered after numerous calls to the 112 emergency number from citizens who had witnessed the scene. According to initial reconstructions, three youths attacked a man, repeatedly kicking and punching him . During the beating, the victim also suffered head injuries caused by the use of an improper weapon. After the attack, the group stole the victim's bicycle , estimated to be worth approximately €300 , as well as a bag containing personal belongings, before quickly leaving.

The victim was rescued with injuries to his face and head

The Carabinieri, arriving on the scene with several patrols, administered first aid to the attacked man and requested the intervention of 118 medical personnel. The victim was subsequently transported to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with multiple nasal fractures and received 12 stitches for his head injuries. Meanwhile, the officers collected statements from those present and began the search for those responsible.

Stopped nearby with a stolen bicycle

Checks in the areas near the train station allowed the Carabinieri to identify and arrest one of the alleged perpetrators of the attack. The 23-year-old was found still in possession of the bicycle stolen from the victim and with visibly bloodstained clothing. After the routine checks, the young man was transferred to the Ravenna prison by order of the magistrate on duty.

Investigations into the other two accomplices continue

The Carabinieri's investigation continues to identify and locate the other two individuals who, according to the initial reconstruction, took part in the attack. This incident is part of the ongoing patrols conducted by law enforcement in the city's busiest areas, with particular attention to transit and gathering areas such as the train station.
