Trapani, two arrests on drug charges: 103 grams of cocaine and a knife seized

The State Police have arrested two people accused, according to the current state of the investigation, of possession with intent to distribute narcotics . The operation took place in recent days as part of territorial control operations established in the Trapani area. Those in trouble are an Italian citizen residing in Mazara del Vallo , already known to law enforcement for numerous criminal and police records, including for property crimes, crimes against the person, and narcotics violations, and a Tunisian citizen residing in the Mazara del Vallo municipality, legally resident in Italy and with no criminal record.
Cocaine hidden in a purse
The two were stopped by officers during a patrol near the Rione Palme neighborhood in Trapani. Their behavior aroused suspicion, and they decided to conduct a search. During the search, they found 103 grams of cocaine , carried in a purse belonging to the two individuals. The officers then seized the drug and began the planned further investigations.
Scales and knife were also found
The search also revealed in the woman's bag a precision scale , believed to be used for weighing drugs, and a switchblade with a 15-centimeter blade . The weapon, the narcotics, and the packaging materials were seized.
House arrest with electronic bracelet
The investigation was conducted by the Trapani Flying Squad in collaboration with the Mazara del Vallo Public Safety Commissioner , as part of efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking and sale in the province. At the request of the Trapani Public Prosecutor's Office , both arrested were placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
