Six youths identified in an attack in downtown Belluno, two of whom are minors.

An attack in downtown Belluno on the night of March 22nd: the Flying Squad identified six young people, including two minors, after analyzing surveillance cameras.

An assault that occurred in the center of Belluno on the night of March 22nd is the focus of the Mobile Squad's investigation. The response was triggered by a citizen's call to the emergency number 113, reporting an ongoing attack on a foreign national by a group of young men. After the incident, the alleged attackers apparently fled and temporarily disappeared.

The victim was rescued by 118

The man who was attacked was also treated by emergency medical personnel for his bruises. After receiving appropriate treatment, he was discharged with a prognosis of eight days. The physical injuries were not particularly serious, but the manner of the attack drew considerable attention from investigators, especially since the attack could have resulted in far more serious consequences for the victim.

An episode considered worrying

The incident is considered particularly serious not only because of the reconstructed events, but also because of the context in which it occurred. According to what has emerged, this is a previously unheard-of incident in the Belluno area, making the case particularly sensitive from a prevention perspective. Investigators fear that similar behavior could fuel copycat behavior or an escalation of violent behavior among youth groups.

The first statements of the injured party

In the initial stages of the investigation, the victim's statements regarding the attackers' descriptions were reportedly particularly confusing. For this reason, officers from the Belluno Flying Squad began an in-depth investigation, acquiring and analyzing footage from city surveillance cameras in the area affected by the attack. The images gradually shed light on certain aspects of the incident.

Reconstruction through cameras

Analysis of the footage revealed an initial meeting between the victim and the group of youths, followed by an argument that later escalated into a physical assault. The investigative reconstruction allowed them to better define the roles of the individuals involved and identify the group that allegedly took part in the incident. The officers' investigation focused on the sequence of movements, contact between those present, and the phases immediately preceding the assault.

Six young people identified by investigators

Following initial investigations, investigators from the Flying Squad identified six individuals believed to be involved in the attack. Among them were two minors. All were reported to the competent judicial authorities, each according to their respective positions and based on the evidence gathered during the investigation. The presence of minors among those identified adds further scrutiny to the matter, also due to the assessments made by juvenile courts.

The video spread on social media

During their investigations, investigators also verified the dissemination of the attack via social media. This fact contributes to the overall worsening of the incident, as the online dissemination of images or content related to violent incidents can amplify the impact of the incident and foster dynamics of exposure, emulation, or spectacularization of violence. This aspect is also currently being examined by investigators.
