Carrara: 44-year-old worker crushed to death by marble slabs

A 44-year-old worker died this morning in an accident at Santucci, a stone company in Carrara. According to initial reports, the man was crushed by slabs while working inside the plant. The alarm was raised shortly after 8:118 a.m., prompting emergency medical personnel to intervene immediately. 

Emergency services and law enforcement arrived on the scene. Despite the prompt intervention of paramedics, nothing could be done for the worker. 

PISL (Prevention, Hygiene, and Safety in the Workplace) workers also intervened at the accident site, carrying out the necessary surveys and investigations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident. Investigations will continue to clarify the circumstances that led to the tragedy and determine any liability for compliance with workplace safety procedures.
