Four days after his Wimbledon triumph, Jannik Sinner is back in Sardinia. The world's number one tennis player has bought a villa in Porto Rafael and this morning surprised everyone by going shopping at a discount store just outside Palau. While waiting to pick up his racket again for the Masters 1000 and the US Open, he's returned to Gallura to relax. He was here a month ago to finalize the purchase of his new summer residence, but his vacations in northeast Sardinia between Grand Slams have become a regular occurrence. Customers and employees this morning widened their eyes and pulled out their smartphones when they saw Sinner wandering the shelves of the Palau MD store. "He came here this morning and his colleagues took pictures," the discount store confirmed. "It was a wonderful surprise for all of us."
