Argentero will continue to be in 'Doc' for the fifth season, with a gradual handover.
Luca Argentero will not be leaving "Doc – Nelle tue mani" with the final episode of the fourth season, which premieres on Rai1 on October 1st. His character will also appear in the fifth season, a gradual handover. This was clarified by Maria Pia Ammirati, director of Rai Fiction, in a response to Adnkronos about the future of the highly successful medical drama and its protagonist.
"First of all," explains Ammirati, "I'd like to emphasize the immense importance Luca Argentero holds in the Rai Fiction star system and, naturally, in the world of 'Doc,' where his role is central and deeply rooted in the series' identity. In the fourth season, which premieres in October, Argentero will return once again as a leading figure, surrounded by the many colleagues who have helped him build an extraordinary success."
"Regarding the fifth season," adds the director of Rai Fiction, "it's important to be clear: the series is currently being written; it will be a season full of surprises, in some ways a revitalizing narrative. 'Doc' will continue to showcase its protagonist, who will undoubtedly be with us, and his passing of the baton will occur gradually, respecting the narrative timing and the actor's artistic and personal needs," Ammirati concludes.
