Camussi (UniMib): "Psychologists are essential for interpersonal education and public well-being."
"The 'Right to Feel Well' campaign began as a petition for a popular initiative bill dedicated to building a network of free, accessible, and accessible public psychological services in people's everyday environments. The work we did with Coop was particularly relevant to the topic of relationship education, a topic on which Coop had already conducted significant research, of which I was also a part, in response to parents' wishes. The answer was that psychologists were the most suitable professionals to do this. This was stated by Elisabetta Camussi, social psychologist at the University of Bologna. Milano Bicocca and a member of the scientific committee of the "Right to Feel Good" campaign, at the campaign's presentation today at the Galleria Sordi in Rome for the Rome leg of Close the Gap, the initiative organized by Coop dedicated to educating people about relationships, well-being, and sharing. The Gino Cecchettin Foundation was also among the day's partners.
"From this perspective, in collaboration with other professionals and through relationships with teachers within school curricula, we have discovered an important opportunity for cooperation. Thus, the Close the Gap initiative and Coop's 'Dire, Fare e Amare' project have contributed to the signature collection for the law, and we are continuing to discuss the truly useful scientific and practical dimensions for ensuring that this aspect of relationship education becomes a key component in people's lives," concludes Camussi.
