Cecchettin Foundation: "Gender equality should be a shared goal."

"ISTAT data and those of numerous associations confirm that we still have a long way to go to close the gender gap. The theme of this day is fundamental: equality must be a goal shared by all, a collective achievement." These were the words of Gino Cicchettin of the Giulia Cicchettin Foundation, speaking today in Rome at the Coop "Close the Gap" campaign, which opened today in the capital city at the Galleria Alberto Sordi.

"As the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation, we are continuing our commitment, focusing primarily on education," continues the Foundation's founder. "We firmly believe that bridging this gap must start in schools, from elementary school to preschool. Only in this way can we educate generations capable of viewing others as equals, recognizing the same rights and opportunities for each individual."

"The path is complex and not without obstacles," observes Cecchettin, "but public awareness is growing, supported by the growing commitment of companies that choose to actively promote these values. We will not stop: international research and data confirm that the implementation of sexual and emotional education programs leads to a significant reduction in violence and femicide. It is time to decisively challenge prejudices and theories lacking scientific basis. By focusing concretely on the well-being of young people and society, we will be able to make the right choices for the future," concludes Cecchettin.
