Dalglish has cancer, former Liverpool striker confirms

Kenny Dalglish has cancer. Today, Tuesday, June 2, the former Liverpool and Celtic footballer confirmed the news that had been accidentally leaked on his social media profiles in recent days. "As I inadvertently shared in a post on social media, I am currently undergoing cancer treatment," Dalglish wrote in another post on his official channels. "Unlike my mobile phone use, the treatment is going well." 

“Ideally, this should have been kept private, as it should be, but my limited technological skills forced my hand,” the former Scotland striker continued. “I obviously didn't mean to make this matter public, so I would appreciate it if my privacy and that of my family were respected.” 

“As always, thank you to the wonderful medical staff who have shown incredible care and discretion, not just for me but for many, many others. They are a credit to themselves,” Dalglish concluded.
