Djokovic disappoints in Cincinnati: eliminated in his debut by Tirante

Novak Djokovic eliminated in Cincinnati. Today, Saturday, August 15, the Serbian tennis player was defeated in the second round by Argentine Thiago Agustin Tirante, who won in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, after a match that Djokovic seemed to have under control, but then suddenly changed course. 

Djokovic, who on the eve of the match had admitted to being in excellent physical condition, easily won the first set, prevailing 6-2, only to then suffer a comeback from his opponent, who turned the match around by closing out the next two sets with a double 6-4 victory.  

Now the Serbian will be facing the US Open, which starts in two weeks on the New York hard court and is his next goal in chasing his dream of a 25th Slam.
