'Mediaset is us', Pier Silvio Berlusconi gathers all the collaborators in memory of the Cavaliere

Over 1.500 Mediaset employees gathered tonight at the Cologno Monzese Campus for an evening that went far beyond a corporate event. "Mediaset siamo Noi," conceived by Pier Silvio Berlusconi three years after the founder's passing, became a huge collective celebration, a moment of identity and belonging, a symbolic embrace between the Group's past, present, and future.

The Campus, transformed for the occasion into a vast meeting space thanks to a marquee spanning over a thousand square meters, welcomed employees of all ages and from all areas of the company. Gerry Scotti introduced the evening, calling Pier Silvio Berlusconi (who had just recovered from a serious car accident, fortunately without serious injuries) to the stage for a highly personal, intense, and emotional address.

"Good evening everyone, and thank you for being here together," the Mediaset CEO began. "Three years have passed, but for me this continues to be an emotional, even moving, moment. Being able to be here with all of you is the greatest gift ever." Pier Silvio immediately made clear the spirit of the evening: "This won't be a commemoration. It won't even be just a celebration. Today we must go a step further: this must become a celebration for Silvio Berlusconi, a celebration for Mediaset, a celebration for all of us. So please, enjoy."

In his speech, Berlusconi spoke about the company, the future, and above all, people. “Companies can grow, become international, achieve extraordinary results even in the most challenging times. But numbers alone aren't enough. There are three ingredients without which nothing can be built: dedication, passion, and—most important of all—people. That is, you. That is, us.” Then came the sentence that ignited the audience: “We are Mediaset, a wonderful company, a company to be proud of thanks to everyone's contribution. We started from something, and that something was inside someone who is watching us and smiling. We are you, and you are all of us. Thank you, Mr. President. I love you, Dad.”

The audience greeted his words with prolonged applause, while Pier Silvio once again thanked his collaborators: "This is our wealth, this is our strength. You have no idea how much energy and how much good you do for me, my family, and our company."

The evening continued with the preview of Toni Capuozzo's documentary, "Dear President, I'll Tell You," which will air tomorrow in prime time on Mediaset. This intimate, journalistic account traces Silvio Berlusconi's life through testimonies, images, and personal memories.

Then it was time for music, courtesy of Pooh, who transformed the marquee into an emotional arena, singing some of their most beloved hits: "Dammi solo un minuto," "Tanta voglia di lei," "Uomini soli," "Pensiero," and "Chi fermerà la musica." A fitting tribute to an evening that was intended to be a celebration, but also a way to remember a man who had a profound connection with music.

The celebration continued along the Via del Gusto, a food and wine trail dedicated to the countries where MFE-MediaForEurope operates: paella and sangria from Spain, risotto alla Milanese and cotoletta from Italy, sausages, sauerkraut, and pretzels from Germany, Sacher Torte and Emmental cheese from Austria and Switzerland, and finally bacalhau and pastéis de nata from Portugal. Catering was provided by the Michelin-starred restaurant Da Vittorio, a further sign of the attention and care dedicated to the event.

"Just as he would have wanted, and he's definitely here with us, let's celebrate and have fun," said Pier Silvio before turning the tide for music and conviviality. And so it was: an evening of pride, remembrance, and community, reminding everyone that Mediaset is not just a company, but a collective story made up of people, passions, and shared visions.
