Missing husband Roccella, search continues in Lake Vico: robots and sonar in action.
The search for Luigi Cavallari, husband of Family Minister Eugenia Roccella, has been ongoing for two weeks, day and night. He disappeared on June 27 after diving into Lake Vico and never resurfacing. The operation is taking place in extremely difficult conditions: visibility is almost zero even at a depth of just a few meters, and the muddy seabed, covered in algae, requires the use of advanced technology.
In the field there are teams of divers from Bologna, Reggio Calabria and Milano, supported by sonar and robots capable of scanning vast areas and identifying any useful information. So far, however, the search has been unsuccessful. Cavallari had dived while on a boat with his wife. It was the minister who raised the alarm and, in recent days, has thanked those who have shown her support on social media.
