Procida: A 47-year-old man arrested for assaulting a school principal after secretly recording a meeting.

A 47-year-old man from Afragola (Naples) was arrested by the Carabinieri station in Procida and faces charges of assault on a school principal and unauthorized installation of equipment or devices designed to intercept communications. The man, a laboratory technician at the "Caracciolo" nautical institute in Procida, attacked the school principal and two local police officers yesterday afternoon. The 47-year-old, who was not present during the meeting, allegedly left his smartphone in the classroom during the teachers' meeting, recording the conversations. Seeing himself discovered, the man attempted to retrieve his phone, first assaulting the two municipal police officers who intervened and then punching the principal in the face, leaving her on the ground. The Carabinieri arrived shortly thereafter, detained and arrested the 47-year-old. Emergency medical services transferred the principal to the hospital. The victim is expected to receive a 10-day prognosis, while the two officers are expected to receive a 3-day prognosis each. The entire incident was filmed by other school staff present. The videos have been acquired.
