Caltanissetta: Two 20-year-olds arrested for sexual activity with a minor under 14

The Carabinieri of the Caltanissetta station have executed a pre-trial detention order against two twenty-year-olds, suspected of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a minor under 14 and to produce pornographic material involving minors. The investigation began following a complaint filed by the victim's father. One of the suspects was placed in pre-trial detention, while the other was placed under house arrest.

CALTANISSETTA – Two 20-year-olds have been issued a detention order as part of an investigation into alleged sexual acts with a minor under 14 and the production of child pornography.

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Caltanissetta station executed the order issued by the judicial authorities against the two young men, who were under investigation together.

The charges brought against them concern, according to what was communicated by the Carabinieri, the crimes of "sexual acts with a minor under the age of 14" and "production of pornographic material involving minors".

The judge ordered one of the two suspects to be held in prison , while the second was placed under house arrest.

The charges are still in the preliminary investigation phase, and responsibilities will have to be ascertained during the proceedings, in compliance with the principle of the presumption of innocence.

The investigation started from the complaint of the minor's father

The investigation was launched following the complaint filed by the victim's father.

From that moment on, delicate investigative investigations were launched, delegated by the judicial authorities, through which the military attempted to reconstruct what had happened and acquire any evidence useful to the investigation.

Of particular importance would have been the computer analysis of the smartphone of one of the two suspects.

According to the prosecution's position, the investigations into the device would have contributed to the formation of the serious circumstantial evidence that forms the basis of the request for precautionary measures.

The charges: relations with the minor and production of photographs and videos

According to the investigators' reconstruction, the two twenty-year-olds had sexual relations with the 14-year-old minor.

The investigation also concerns the alleged production of photographs and films documenting intercourse and other sexually explicit behavior.

According to what emerged from the investigative activity, the material was subsequently distributed or otherwise disclosed, including through electronic means.

It is precisely the set of elements gathered during the investigations, including those obtained through computer analysis, that led investigators to outline the circumstantial evidence against the two young men.

One in prison, the other under house arrest

Based on the investigative findings, Public Prosecutor Eliana Manno has requested the application of precautionary measures.

The preliminary investigations judge of the Caltanissetta court , accepting the request of the prosecution, ordered two different restrictive measures.

One of the twenty-year-olds was placed in prison for precautionary measures ; the other was placed under house arrest.

The Carabinieri of the Caltanissetta station then proceeded to execute the order.
