Bondeno: Drug dealing ring dismantled: cocaine and an illegal pistol seized
Carabinieri operation in the Ferrara area: drugs, cash, drug dealing equipment, and a modified weapon with its serial number removed were seized.
A comprehensive investigation by the Carabinieri of the Bondeno Station led to the dismantling of an alleged drug dealing ring operating in the municipality. The operation resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics, cash, drug packaging materials, and even an illegal, ready-to-use weapon. The investigations linked two separate operations conducted by the officers within a few days of each other, revealing, according to investigators, a possible connection between multiple individuals involved in the illicit activity.
The first raid: drugs, drug dealing accounts and money
The first phase of the operation began on July 23 , when the Carabinieri, after conducting a surveillance operation, conducted a search of the home of a 39-year-old man . During the search, the officers found the 39-year-old man with several people who were using cocaine. The subsequent search of the home resulted in the recovery of several doses of cocaine and hashish , as well as precision scales, packaging materials, and diaries containing notes believed to be related to drug dealing.
Approximately €2.000 in cash was also seized inside the home , believed to be the possible proceeds of the illegal activity. The investigation was then extended to a second home owned by the man, located outside the region, where the Carabinieri found an additional approximately 60 grams of hashish . For these events, the 39-year-old was reported to the Judicial Authorities of Trento and Ferrara on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
The second intervention and the discovery of the network
The second chapter of the investigation unfolded on July 31 , when a Carabinieri patrol from Bondeno stopped a car carrying a 57-year-old man , already known to law enforcement, for a check. The man was found in possession of several doses of cocaine and cash. Among the seized substances was also a dose of "pink cocaine ," also known as tusi , a synthetic substance whose use is associated with particular health risks. The subsequent search of the 57-year-old's home strengthened the investigative framework: the 39-year-old man, who had already been investigated a few days earlier, was also present inside the house.
Drugs, illegal medications, and a modified pistol seized
During the house search, the Carabinieri found additional cocaine and hashish, as well as scales, cutting equipment, and 88 blister packs of Kamagra , an illegally imported drug. The investigation then continued at the home of the 57-year-old's partner, where the man had reportedly moved. During this time, the 57-year-old handed over to the officers a clandestine pistol hidden inside a pouffe in the living room. The weapon turned out to be a replica of a 9mm Beretta PX4 modified to fire , with the serial number removed, and ammunition. According to investigators, the pistol was allegedly in possession without the woman's knowledge.
Stop and validate the measure
Following the discovery of the illegal weapon, the 57-year-old was arrested on charges of possession of an illegal weapon and, by order of the judicial authorities, transferred to the Ferrara prison pending a validation hearing. The preliminary investigations judge of the Ferrara Court validated the arrest, placing the suspect under house arrest. The Carabinieri are continuing their investigation to further clarify the relationships between the individuals involved and reconstruct the potential structure of the drug dealing network identified in the area.
