Pontecorvo, Carabinieri checks the area: two complaints and drug-related reports.

A comprehensive territorial control service was deployed by the Carabinieri of the Pontecorvo Company , at the behest of the Frosinone Provincial Carabinieri Command , with the aim of increasing safety on the main roads, combating drug dealing, and preventing predatory crimes. The operation involved the municipalities of Pontecorvo, Aquino, and Castrocielo , with numerous checkpoints and targeted checks on motorists and individuals deemed to be of operational interest.

Two people reported during checks

During the operation, the Carabinieri reported two people to the judicial authorities. One concerned a driver caught driving while intoxicated , after testing positive for a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. A second individual was reported for wilful failure to comply with a judicial order and failure to comply with the authorities' orders . The man was stopped in the Pontecorvo area while driving his vehicle, despite being subject to a precautionary measure prohibiting him from entering and residing in the municipality, violating the imposed provisions.

Two drug users reported

The fight against drug use also led to the reporting of two people to the Prefecture pursuant to Article 75 of Presidential Decree 309/1990 . Specifically, a 26-year-old homeless man, stopped in the Pontecorvo area, was subjected to a personal search. The Carabinieri found 1,27 grams of hashish in his possession , held for personal use.

The substance was administratively seized, and the young man was reported to the Prefecture for the initiation of the required proceedings. A similar measure was taken against a 36-year-old resident of Pico, who was stopped near a business in Pontecorvo while preparing a dose of crack for personal use . In this case, too, the substance was seized, and the man was reported to the competent administrative authority.

Operation numbers: 87 people checked

Overall, during the extraordinary operation, the Carabinieri identified 87 people and checked 63 vehicles . Ten breathalyzer tests and three searches were carried out , two of which were successful. The operation also resulted in four fines being issued for violations of the Highway Code and four driving licenses being revoked.
