Alatri: 52-year-old woman under investigation for withdrawing life-saving drugs using someone else's information.

A 52-year-old woman from the province of Frosinone, already known to the police, has been investigated for alleged impersonation to steal life-saving drugs. In the Alatri area , Carabinieri officers from the Ferentino station executed a search warrant issued by the Frosinone Public Prosecutor's Office against the woman, as part of an investigation launched following a complaint filed by a 34-year-old woman.

The victim's complaint and the use of personal data

According to investigators' reconstruction, the victim reported that unknown individuals had stolen her personal information, using it to impersonate her and collect a lifesaving medication prescribed by local healthcare providers from a pharmacy. The Carabinieri's investigation led to the launch of a series of investigations to identify the person responsible for the alleged scam. Analysis of video surveillance footage also proved crucial, allowing officers to reconstruct the method used.

Medical prescriptions found to be stolen

Investigations revealed that the 52-year-old woman had, on several occasions, gone to a pharmacy in the province of Frosinone to pick up medications registered to the 34-year-old. To obtain the drugs, she had presented medical prescriptions, which, according to subsequent investigations, were found to be from a prescription pad previously reported stolen by a doctor in the province.

The seizure during the search

During the house search, the Carabinieri found and seized various materials deemed useful for the investigation. Among the items recovered were two medical prescriptions from the block reported stolen , one of which had already been filled out for a man who is still being identified. Seven blank medical prescriptions signed by another healthcare professional and twelve packages of the lifesaving drug under investigation were also found . All the material was seized and held at the Carabinieri offices pending its subsequent submission to the Corrupt Materials Office.

Investigations coordinated by the Frosinone Prosecutor's Office

The Carabinieri have notified the competent judicial authority for further investigation. The investigation will continue to clarify all aspects of the case and determine the 52-year-old's possible involvement in the alleged conduct.
