Also in 2024 the summer centers will be active during the period of suspension of educational and school activities, from June to September with numerous openings also for the month of August, to offer greater opportunities to families.
The now consolidated model provides a mixed offer of summer services:

• summer centers for the 3-14 age group managed by managers identified through public procedures and included in a specific list;
• schools open with first and second level secondary schools for the 11-16 age group;
• summer opportunities aimed at children with disabilities attending secondary schools.

The summer program will be presented during an open day scheduled for April 20th , during which each manager will have the opportunity to present their educational project and families will be able to receive all the information necessary for enrollment and submitting the grant application.

As always, applications to register for summer centers must be submitted online only by connecting to the dedicated portal with your credentials SPID.

From this year, in order to minimize inconvenience for families during registration, some changes have been introduced:

• the presentation of the request for contribution to participate in the summer camps was brought forward to before the opening of the registration notice, by 3 23 to April;
• from two weeks before the opening of the tender, by 15 to 28 April will already be possible pre-fill the application online, save it as a draft but do not send it, the application will be sent only when the registration notice opens. For each week chosen the parent will be able to indicate up to 3 preferences;
• there will be two distinct registration periods, divided by age group: the first period, 29 6 from April to May, will be reserved for the age group 6 14-years (i.e. children born from 1/01/2010 to 31/12/2017 and those born from 1/01/2018 to 30/04/2018 who attend primary school as early adopters); the second period, from 6 to 13 May, will be reserved for the age group 3 6-years (i.e. children born from 1/01/2018 to 31/12/2020 and those born from 1/01/2021 to 31/12/2021 early to both public and private nursery school or enrolled in the spring sections ).

Registration can only be requested for children resident in the Municipality of Bologna. Applications for non-residents in Bologna can be submitted once the call for applications has closed, on the remaining places still available.

As last year, the inclusion model for boys and girls with disabilities continues, structured to encourage as much as possible the construction of a welcoming context, in which the main objective is the well-being of the child within the context of relationships between peers and with adults.
The model involves a team of educators who collaborates with those of the summer center manager, the qualification of the reception, the assignment of a number of weekly hours for the educators, variable in relation to the number and characteristics of the minors who attend. Between resources coming from the Emilia-Romagna Region and municipal resources, for the summer of 2024 they will be allocated 1.207.445 euros in contributions for the payment of registrations by families.

For the inclusion of children with disabilities , in addition to €1.217.883 of municipal resources, €300 of PN+ Funds will also be used, for a total of €1.517.883.
