The intervention along the SP 109
Yesterday evening, a timely intervention by Carabinieri officers from the Nardò station allowed a six-year-old Moldovan girl, resident in the municipality for tourism, to be brought to safety. The alarm was raised along Provincial Road 109, at the intersection with Provincial Road 110, following a report of a child alone and disoriented near the road.
The little girl was brought to safety
The Carabinieri quickly responded to the indicated location and took charge of the child, who appeared to be in good health. After securing her safety, the Carabinieri immediately began an investigation to reconstruct the incident, establishing that the minor had inadvertently wandered away on foot from the nearby tourist accommodation where she was staying with her family.
Tracing family members and re-adoption
Simultaneously with the investigations, the officers began searching for the family members, quickly locating the cohabiting parent. The child was then returned to her loved ones safe and sound, following an intervention that avoided potential risks associated with her being alone near the road and concluded without any consequences for the minor.
