The Carabinieri's intervention at the "Mix Mercato"

In recent weeks, the Carabinieri of the Ostiglia Station, engaged in preventative services in the area, as agreed upon and shared with the Prefecture during a Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security chaired by Prefect Roberto Bolognesi, responded to a theft committed inside the "Mix Mercato" store in Ostiglia. According to the investigation, a person stole food items, evading security checks and passing the checkout without paying.

The complaint and the analysis of the cameras

While taking the report, the officers were informed that the individual in question might have been involved in other similar incidents. The Carabinieri then began further investigations, including the acquisition and analysis of video surveillance footage. The examination of the cameras revealed that the same individual, from last November until last May, had stolen numerous food items from the supermarket, resulting in total financial damage estimated at approximately €8.000.

The complaint for aggravated continued theft

Upon completion of their investigation, the Carabinieri of the Ostiglia Station found serious evidence of guilt against a 44-year-old Pakistani citizen, resident in Ostiglia. The man was referred to the Judicial Authorities as he is believed to be responsible, in the prosecution's case, for the crime of aggravated theft with repeated charges.
