Intervention during the night after the call to 112
In Pescara, Carabinieri officers from the local Carabinieri Operations and Radiomobile Unit arrested a 41-year-old Moroccan man, already known to law enforcement, for resisting arrest and insulting a public official. The operation was triggered by a late-night report to the 112 Emergency Number, indicating the presence of a person clearly under the influence of alcohol on Via Conte di Ruo.
The reaction to the arrival of the military
It was around 1:30 a.m. when the Carabinieri arrived on the scene to assess the reported situation. Upon seeing the officers, the 41-year-old allegedly attacked them, putting up strong resistance and hurling death threats and insults. The officers managed, with difficulty, to subdue the man and bring the situation under control, avoiding further incidents in the area affected by the intervention.
Arrest and transfer to prison
After being arrested, the 41-year-old was taken to the offices on Via Lago di Borgiano for the required formalities. Following the investigation, by order of the competent judicial authority, he was transferred to the local prison. A hearing to validate the arrest is scheduled for the man.
