Pescara, massive drug seizure destined for summer nightlife: 50-year-old arrested with over 1,6 kilos of narcotics

A major operation by the Pescara State Police led to the arrest of a 50-year-old man with no criminal record, accused of possession of a significant quantity of narcotics intended for distribution. The operation was conducted by officers of the Flying Squad , engaged in a specific effort to combat illicit drug trafficking, with a particular focus on the phenomenon associated with Pescara's summer nightlife.
Investigations into drug dealing in nightlife venues
The investigation began as part of efforts to prevent and suppress the spread of narcotics in popular summer locations. Investigators from the anti-drug unit conducted a series of observation and stakeout operations, successfully identifying the fifty-year-old Pescara native, believed to be involved in drug trafficking. According to the investigation, the man frequented some of the area's most popular summer clubs, which were apparently used as meeting places to identify potential buyers and establish a network of clients.
The search in the house used as a warehouse
Following the completion of their investigation, yesterday, police conducted a house search at the man's residence, located in the Colli area of Pescara. Inside the house, believed by investigators to be a base of operations and a drug dealing warehouse, they found large quantities of narcotics. Officers seized 1.300 grams of marijuana , 230 grams of hashish , and 150 grams of cocaine , as well as material deemed suitable for packaging the doses and managing the illicit activity.

Arrested and transferred to prison
Given the quantity of drugs found and the evidence gathered during the investigation, the 50-year-old was arrested by the State Police. After the usual formalities, the man was taken to prison and placed in the hands of the judicial authorities.
