Riccione, State Police checks: beach club transformed into a nightclub without permits

Beach club transformed into a nightclub for young people without a license

The Rimini State Police conducted targeted administrative checks to ensure compliance with regulations on public establishments, focusing specifically on the sale and serving of alcohol to minors. The checks, conducted by the Administrative Police Division of the Police Headquarters, focused on beach resorts in the Marano area of Riccione, focusing on the establishments' regular operations and the ban on serving alcoholic beverages to minors.

“School Beach” evening without licenses

During one of the checks, officers discovered a club hosting a full-fledged dance party for high school students, advertised on social media under the title "School Beach." The club, set up with strobe lights and cordoned off areas, had effectively created a dance floor playing commercial and house music.

At the time of the inspection, around 11:00 PM, the manager was unable to produce any permit for dance entertainment or for the use of the premises. The Municipality of Riccione permits venues in the area only to play entertainment music, without a dance license, and at volumes inaudible from the public street. The night inspected, however, violated both restrictions, with music being played outside and the premises not being authorized to be used as a dance floor.

Sanctions and reporting to the Judicial Authority

The manager, already known to law enforcement for similar incidents, was fined for not having a public entertainment license and reported to the Judicial Authority for not having a certificate of occupancy. The documents will be forwarded to the Municipality of Riccione, which will assess any further measures and sanctions, also considering the venue's repeat record of similar violations.
