Alcaraz does not recover for Wimbledon

The break will continue until the Masters 1000 in Montreal, starting on August 2, with alcaraz absent from the fields for over three consecutive months, marking 110 days away from the competition.

Clear advantage for Sinner

The decision of alcaraz opens the way to Jannik Sinner, already the undisputed number 1 after his triumph at the Rome Open. With the Spaniard already losing 2.000 points from Roland Garros and an additional 1.800 points from failing to defend at Queen's and Wimbledon, Sinner can reach a total of approximately 15.000 ATP points. Alcaraz's absence thus confirms the Italian's lead, making it virtually impossible for him to overtake him throughout the 2026 season.
