Turin: attempted murder in Barriera di Milano, 54 year old arrested
Attempted murder during a drug fight
The State Police arrested a 54-year-old Moroccan man, suspected of attempted murder. The arrest was subsequently validated by the Judicial Authority, which ordered his pre-trial detention.
Street assault: injured man transported with red code
The incidents date back to the end of May, when during the night a Flying Squad crew found a man with a stab wound to the side in Largo Giulio Cesare, at the corner of Via Volpiano. The victim was immediately treated and transported with a red code to San Giovanni Bosco Hospital, where he underwent surgery in intensive care.
The dynamics of the argument
The investigations of the Barriera Police Station Milano, supported by video surveillance footage, reconstructed the events. The attack occurred on Corso Giulio Cesare, likely related to the purchase of narcotics. The suspect pulled a knife and held it to the victim's neck. The victim, fearful, had moved away at the instigation of a third party. Not satisfied, the attacker followed the victim to Via Volpiano, stabbing her in the ribs.
Identification of the author
The investigation led to the man being located inside an abandoned van, used as a temporary shelter. Officers noted that he was wearing the same clothes as the one he was attacked in, with traces of blood still visible on his shirt.
